To be the leading global provider of integrated maritime consultancy and inspection services—delivering trusted, data-driven solutions that ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations across offshore and marine environments.
Robert began his career at sea as a Shell cadet, earning dual qualifications as a Deck Officer and Marine Engineer. Over nearly two decades he sailed on a diverse fleet—from VLCCs and Aframaxes to LNG, LPG, and DP shuttle tankers—ultimately achieving unlimited Master Mariner and Chief Engineer licenses.
Transitioning ashore with Shell, Robert joined London-based commercial and marine assurance teams, where he led SIRE and time-charter inspections, cargo assurance audits, terminal audits, and loss-prevention initiatives. He then served as a marine pilot and logistics director in West Africa, overseeing operations, maintenance, and commercial activities at a major export terminal.
At BP, Robert drove the installation, commissioning, and operation of a deepwater FPSO and CALM Buoy—establishing marine protocols, organizational structures, and commercial lifting agreements. He went on to Chevron, where he led the design and construction of Angola LNG’s Port of Soyo: from land reclamation and channel dredging to vessel procurement, navigation aids, and government traffic-management agreements.
As Chevron’s Global Upstream Marine Authority in Houston, Robert assured the safety and performance of all offshore and upstream assets—supply boats, AHTS, DSVs, Drill ships, pipelay vessels, and more—and co-created the OCMIF OVID and OVMSA inspection programs. As LNG Fleet Manager in Singapore, he led cross-functional teams in marine operations, HSE, procurement, and supply chain. Back in Houston, he oversaw the operation, maintenance, and integrity of FPSOs and FSUs worldwide.
Most recently, Robert steered Chevron’s transition from VIQ7 to SIRE2—transforming audit culture from fear to continuous improvement—and delivered multimillion-dollar savings through special projects and cost-optimization. Today, he has charted a new course: offering his deep technical expertise, global perspective, and proven leadership to guide clients toward safer, more efficient, and sustainable marine operations.
Robert, born in the UK, now lives in Katy, Texas, just outside Houston with his wife, Katrina, son Alex and daughter Emily. They also have three rescue dogs, Tex, Roxy and Cowboy. Robert is passionate about Newcastle United, is a qualified US Soccer Federation referee, follows the Houston Astros and loves to cook.
